Parlons aujourd’hui d’une jolie expo photo à Paris : celle de David Nissen, au Salon du Panthéron, Paris 5ème. Vous pourrez la voir jusqu’au 15 Janvier 2016.
David Nissen est directeur de la photographie depuis 15 ans sur des courts et longs métrages, pour des spots publicitaires pour les plus grandes marques, des clips (notamment Pascal Obispo, Johnny Hallyday, Raphaël, etc). L’expo montre son travail non commercial, ses recherches personnelles sous forme de séries. J’ai été séduite par son approche du fait très cinématographique des clichés, l’atmosphère mystérieuse, le silence palpable et ces vies en suspens..
David Nissen dit lui-même : « Je cherche des lieux qui dégagent une certaine puissance, des ambiances lumineuses singulières, des atmosphères qui ont une histoire à dévoiler. Mon but est de permettre au spectateur d’entrer dans l’image pour y établir sa propre mise en scène, comme un réalisateur le fait en cherchant des décors pour donner corps à son scénario. »
Saisir l’instant en vol pour le rendre dramatique, avec un cadrage bien étudié et une puissance de l’ombre qui donne tout son caractère à la lumière et aux couleurs. Très inspirant je trouve, qu’en pensez-vous ?

Let’s talk today about a nice photo exhibition in Paris: the one of David Nissen, at the Salon du Panthéron, Paris 5th. You can see it until 2015, January the 15th.
David Nissen has been director of photography for 15 years on short and feature films to commercials for leading brands, clips (including Pascal Obispo, Johnny Hallyday, Raphael, etc.). The exhibition shows his non-commercial work, his personal research in the form of series. I was seduced by his very cinematic approach shots, the mysterious atmosphere, palpable silence and those lives on hold ..

David Nissen himself says: « I look for places that exude a certain power, singular lighting moods, atmospheres that have a story to unfold. My goal is to allow the viewer to enter the picture to establish it’s own staging, as a director is seeking the sets to give substance to his script. »

Capture the moment in flight to make it dramatic, with a well-studied framing and a power shade that gives its character to light and color. I find this very inspiring, what’as your opinion?
