Lors de mon voyage en Suède, j’ai eu la chance d’interviewer le jeune groupe de rock Bad Barber. Ce sont 4 musiciens vraiment très sympathiques qui parlent sans détour de leur amour du rock old school des années 60, de leurs influences diverses et de leur franche amitié. Il y a Mange, le chanteur, Martin à la guitare, Gustaf à la basse et Johan à la batterie.
Très lookés, chacun à leur manière, ils envisagent leur musique comme un tout où l’esthétique a son rôle à jouer dans la reconnaissance par le public. Je les ai trouvés très attachants et cette folie vestimentaire assumée n’est pas une façade, elle reflète leur quotidien d’artistes originaux et farfelus.
During my trip to Sweden, I had the chance to interview the young rock band Bad Barber. The four musicians are really nice and talk openly about their love of old school rock music of the 60s, their influences and their sincere friendship. There is Mange, the singer, Martin on guitar, Gustaf on bass guitar and Johan on drums.
Very fashion, each in their own way, they see their music as a whole thing in which aesthetics has a role in the recognition by the public. I found them very endearing and their assumed madness in clothing is not a façade, it reflects ther daily routine of original and eccentric artists.

Au niveau composition musicale, j’ai énormément accroché car toute la construction de leurs morceaux est très développée : la basse, la guitare et la batterie résultent d’une composition équilibrée où chacun des membres du groupe Bad Barber apporte sa touche personnelle. La ligne de chant est rajoutée par la suite, pour faire gagner de la puissance aux compositions, qui deviennent très riches. C’est péchu, fun et décalé, j’adore !

At a musical composition level, I really loved the highly developed construction of their songs: bass, guitar and drums are the result of a balanced composition in which each member of the group Bad Barber brings his personal touch. The vocal line is added later, to give the ending power to the compositions, which become very rich. It’s punchy, fun and quirky, I love it!
