Ce fabricant de glaces est le premier en Europe à proposer des glaces instantanées grâce à l’utilisation de Nitrogène liquide. Elles se font sous vos yeux en quelques instants : c’est amusant, étonnant, un peu magique et surtout délicieux. Ma glace était au chocolat Valrhona (ils ont bon goût ces Anglais !)

This icecream maker is the first in Europe to offer instant icecream with the use of liquid Nitrogen. They are made under your eyes in a few moments, it’s fun, amazing, a little magical and especially delicious. My icecream was made of Valrhona chocolate (they’ve good taste in England!)

Ensuite vient le magasin Mistress, une bonbonnière qui présente une très belle sélection de chaussures de créateurs dans un écrin délicieusement baroque kitsch. Les prix sont très larges, d’abordable à assez cher.

Jusqu’au 27 janvier 2013, vous pouvez admirer de nombreuses photographies de Tim Walker, photographe de mode de renom britannique dont j’avais déjà parlé ici.
Ce qui est amusant, c’est de voir les éléments de décor utilisés sur ces shootings, en grandeur nature à coté de vous. Entre la poupée géante, des insectes dignes de Disney et un avion grandeur nature, c’est spectaculaire ! Et en plus l’expo est gratuite ! Ce n’est pas en France que l’on verrait cela.

It’s fun to see the decorative elements used on the shootings in real size just next to you. Between the giant doll, insects deserving of Disney and an airplane size, it’s spectacular! And in addition the expo is free! That’s not in France that we would see things like that.

Pour finir, je voulais vous parler d’une marque de cosmétiques que j’ai découvertes dans les rayons de Boots. Anglaise d’origine, c’est son packaging humoristique rétro que j’ai adoré, il me rappelait un peu Benfits. La marque s’appelle Soap and Glory, et ils ont beaucoup d’articles astucieux de très bonne qualité, à petit prix. Si vous êtes curieux, voici leur site ici.

Finally, I wanted to tell you about a UK cosmetics brand that I discovered on the shelves of a Boots store. I loved so much its humorous retro packaging, it reminded me a bit of Benfits. The UK brand is called Soap and Glory, and they have many clever items of very good quality, at low price. If you’re curious, here’s their website.
