Ce gilet Monceau est une première pour moi. Il est réalisé en tissu extensible, ici un jersey matelassé. Le patron est d’ailleurs prévu pour ce type de tissu en particulier. Il est très simple à réaliser, je n’ai fait aucune modification, tout taille parfaitement. Je le porte très facilement, en mixant les imprimés car finalement, les rayures s’assortissent bien d’un gros motif fleuri je trouve. Pour acheter le Gilet Monceau de Cosy Little World, c’est par ici, il est vendu conjointement au sweat Courcelles qui part de la même base de patron.
I sewed this Monceau jacket for the very first time. It’s made of stretchy fabric, here it’s a quilted jersey. The sewing pattern is done for this particular type of fabric. It’s very easy to sew, I haven’t made any changes, everything fits perfectly. I wear this jacket very easily, mixing prints because ultimately, stripes match nicely with a big flower pattern I think. Mon seul regret concerne la qualité de ce tissu qui m’avait immédiatement tapé dans l’œil dans le magasin Les Merveilles de Saint Pierre à Paris. Si vous y passez parfois, je tiens juste à souligner que ce type de jersey polyester matelassé est de très mauvaise qualité. La ouate emprisonnée a tendance à ressortir en surface, ce qui est franchement rageant…
Du coup, j’ai déjà refait d’autres versions de ce gilet que je vous montrerai prochainement sur le blog : une rose poudrée avec un tissu acheté sur La Panda Love (et franchement coté qualité, cela n’a rien à voir), et un autre pour ma maman dans un molleton à sweat acheté dans un magasin du quartier du Sentier car oui, ils vendent parfois aux particuliers, ça vaut le coup d’essayer. Voilà un patron de couture bien rentabilisé !
My only regret is about the quality of this fabric that had immediately caught my eye in the store Les Merveilles de Saint Pierre in Paris. If you go there sometimes I just want to warn you that this type of padded polyester jersey is of very poor quality. Batting imprisoned tend to highlight to the surface, which is frankly infuriating …

So, I’ve sewn other versions of this jacket that I will show you soon on the blog: a powdery pink fabric bought on The Panda Love (and frankly, quality is real here), and another for my mom in a fleece sweatshirt bought in a store of the Sentier district because yes, they sometimes sell to individuals, it’s worth trying.
